The feature of these species is that they are all extremely localised.

With the exception of Se lacunosa all these species were found in the richest areas of the Cape Flora, some in areas that were well explored. These species are just so rare that they slipped through the net of earlier explorations and required the detailed and thorough approach achieved by the Atlas Project to discover them. Some may still be out there ....
