A solid black dot indicates where the species is found. Serruria
trilopha - Trident Spiderhead has an underground rootstock from which many robust,
sprawling stems arise. The leaves are 3-7 tipped.
Se tril. is a flats species which may now be extinct on the Peninsula. Please look for
it in the Tokai and Constantia Forestry areas. There were rumours that it had been seen on
the new extension to Rondevlei! However, these probably refer to the planted plants at
Rondevlei. Apart from these plants it appears to be extinct on the Cape Peninsula. Please
feel free to visit these plants and record their flowering and growth. |
