A solid black dot indicates where the species is found. Serruria
inconspicua - Cryptic Spiderhead is a sprawling, small, few-flowered version of Serruria
fasciflora. Se inco is only known on the Peninsula from Froggy Farm. The population
is just surviving on the edge of the fire belt below the really steep slopes at the Block
House Gap.
We have only four records for this species. It would be nice to have a local resident
visit the populations every month and record their state of flowering and growth.
It is strange that it only occurs at this one place. Perhaps the slopes south of the
Block House Gap may benefit from more atlassing. |
