IDM Zimbabwe - Transvaal Beechwood - Faurea salignaFaurea saligna - Transvaal Beechwood A tree 7-10 m tall, in open woodland and grassland and on stony hillsides. Leaves 65-125 mm long by 13-20 mm wide, drooping, sickle-shaped, pale yellow green. Flowers: August February. We have only 3 records of Fa sali. It is thought to occur throughout Zimbabwe. It prefers acidic soils. A solid black dot indicates where the species is found. |
