IDM Zimbabwe - Terblans Beechwood - Faurea macnaughtonii

Faurea macnaughtonii - Terblans Beechwood is a pale form of Faurea rubriflora, occurring in similar habitats. It has broader leaves (25-30mm wide), and flowers earlier (Dec-Feb, vs Mar-Apr). Fa macnaughtonii has a very spotty distribution and is very difficult to see (with the leaves and flowers above the forest canopy). It is known from Mpumalanga and Madagascar, and in its habitat it may be replaced by Fa rubriflora.

A solid black dot indicates where the species is found.
