Soutpansberg Field Trip
The Soutpansberg will be the next venue for atlassing on the 11th and 12th November. Plant fundi Norbert Hahn will be our host. He has an amazing knowledge of indigenous flora, and apart from the Proteas, will be able to show us the other floristic treasures of these mountains, of which there are many. The Soutpansberg rises from the dusty thornveld plains to over 1800m, with cool grasslands and evergreen forests on the mountaintops.
Norbert's farm is at Wylie's Poort north of Louis Trichardt, about 3,5 hours drive north of Pretoria. Norbert has spare rooms which he has offered for our use. If you've never seen the Soutpansberg, use this opportunity.
