IDM KwaZulu-Natal - Oribi Conebush - Leucadendron spissifolium oribinum

A solid black dot indicates where the species is found.

Leucadendron spissifolium oribinum - Oribi Conebush has leaves up to 31 mm long, 3 mm wide in males and up to 45 mm long, 4 mm wide in females, linearoblanceolate, tip with a pale, fine point, sickle-shaped, twisted, hairless. The male ilowerbead is withoutinvolucralleaves.

Ls SPIS O was thought to be a rare subspecies of Spear-leaf Conebush known only from the Oribi Gorge and the Izotsha Ravine, but records from the Umtamvuma River suggest that it may be more common than previously believed.

We have 21 records of Ld spissifolium oribinum, mostly from Pondoland. More data detailing flowering and growth patterns will be appreciated.
